Being north in Port Jervis, Sunday the 16th., a few of the Polar Bears made a lateral move west. Wayne B., a fan of industrial history wanted to see a tunnel adjacent to the Nay Aug Park, in Scranton. The park displays historic remnants such as a gravity railroad car.
There is a demonstration mine, intended to draw industry to the Scranton area a decade ago and miles of hiking trails that parallel the Nay Aug gorge and waterfalls. But the David Wenzel Tree House is a must see.
Named for a former Scranton Mayor who lost his legs in Viet Nam, the Tree House allowed him to take in the splendor of the gorge despite his handicap.
A group left from Newtown on Sunday Nov 16 and took a chilly ride to Clinton NJ to have lunch at the Country Grill. We need to warm up on the way home and stopped at the Homestead Store for coffee. (Kathy W. photo)
A group got together for a fun evening of wrapping. Guess what is in these presents? Come to the Annual BCHOG Holiday party & find out. Its always a fun time with great friends. (Kathy W-H. photo)
The colors of fall and the beautiful scenery of Upper Bucks was enjoyed by a group of 18 bikes that went to Coopersburg Diner on Sunday Nov 9. (Kathy W-H. photo)
Along the route after our meal we stopped at the Quakertown Farmers Market. The guys went HOG wild trying on chaps. Jim & Ken try out the flexibility of the leather. We all enjoyed our day of riding, eating & shopping together. (Kathy W-H. photo)
A BCH tradition, the Bucks County Red Cross Shelter ride. (Elaine K. photo)
The weather usually cooperates for this event but Saturday November 8 was a damp one. (Elaine K. photo)
Fortunately your contributions are accepted by Brian's H-D weeks in advance and donations which stay in the county are also matched. (Elaine K. photo)
All the residents are always happy to see and circulate around the bikes. (Elaine K. photo)
Especially the kids, of course. (Elaine K. photo)

Brian's H-D invited everyone, November 1st., for their Big Bad Chile Ride. A 70 mile scenic ride followed by a lunch of dogs and really good Chile. Rained out the previous weekend, this was a Free Fun & Food Filled Fall Foliage day. Registration equipped us with turn-by-turn directions.
BCH was present in force and you could choose a tour guided by CB equipped Road Captains. Kathy W-H conducts a pre-ride safety meeting with one group.
Natale and Al are ready!!
"Moose" is on the head of this group.
Tony B. has the tail, and by golly it's still hanging out his tour pak. :8)
One group made a stop in Frenchtown, NJ. The mayor came over and welcomed them with some town trivia. (Kathy W-H. photo)
A classic route through Pennsylvania and New Jersey and even included the only Covered Bridge in New Jersy. "Brian's Ride" signs helped point out the turns.
Back at the Dealership volunteers were waiting to serve up a hearty lunch.
The following day (November 2) was the annual ABATE toy ride. Brian's H-D is an event sponsor with two groups following their trailer of toys. BCH members at the Penns Landing rallying point, wait for the main parde to begin. (Kathy W-H. photo)
The parade pauses but "Flea" never stops talking. :8) (Connie M. photo)

The first Penguin Ride of the season went to our friends at Haycock Fire House. (Kathy W-H. photo)
Haycock does a very nice all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet throughout the year. Check out their web site for more information. (Kathy W-H. photo)
And while the Penguins were going North, the first Polar Bear ride of the season headed South, to the shores of Cape May. (Tom B. photo)
Tom B. was eager to try out his super duper new camera and you can see it's incredibly fast shutter was even able to stop the action of this group whose travels normally appear as a blur to the naked eye. (Tom B. photo)
The last scheduled TGFIF Ride for the 2008 Riding Season, October 24. 5 Bikes went to Tiger Sharks Restaurant in Southampton, a new destination for us. It is a keeper. We will return. We had a great time. Looks like lightning struck Barb as her reflector tape caught the light. (Kathy W-H. photo)
Over the weekend of October 18 & 19, several BCH members and alumni rode to White Plains, NY for the Ramapo Fall Foliage Ride. Left frame - friends congratulating Tom I., for finally getting his T-Bag secured, Right frame - Registration.
Stopping at a Dunkin Donuts, these big boys were feasting in the dumpster out back. Apparently shy of being photographed, they lumbered into the woods only to return to the "Donut Dining Dumpster" a few minutes later.
Our friends at Ramapo are famous for their Midnight Crotona and Ramapo 500 rides, so we knew a Fall Foliage route by them had to be one of the seasons best. It was an exceptional route through elite NY suburbs to the solitude of remote lakes and canopy.
It wasn't completely uneventful. Rob lost his "Road Captain from Hell" title to a guide who made about a dozen U-Turns over the first 20 miles with no regard to oncoming traffic or the bikes he was leading, until our group shooed him away, opting to follow the impeccable directions ourselves. During lunch, the waiter spilled scalding coffee on one member who will likely require surgery.
The weekend of October 10th., Brian's H-D sponsored a trip to Nags Head. On the Chesapeake Bay Bridge they stopped for a class picture. (Kathy W-H. photo)
A group of went south on the island first stopping at the Bodie Island Lighthouse, or is that the leaning tower of Bodie. (Kathy W-H. photo)
The next stop was the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse - Rob got very excited as you can see. (Kathy W-H. photo)
Having fun around the hot tub & pool. Must be too much water for George, he's looking a little sea-sick. (Kathy W-H. photo)
Ken S. writes; "With the high prices of gas, I think this is going to be my new ride ... No More Harley". (Rolma S. photo)

All those bikes right straight through New Hope. Guess they couldn't find the decibel meter that day. Nice thing about a police escorted ride. (Connie M. photo)

A few weeks back, the BCMA conducted their annual "Searchlight Ride". The way it works, they shine a searchlight into the sky (at night) and you follow the light to the destination, which is a party. (Connie M. photo)
Following a searchlight amidst city lights and buildings is not as easy as you might think, but not as hard as finding your way home without a searchlight to guide you and your wits have been dimmed as Rob appears having thougholy enjoyed the party. (Connie M. photo)
On Wednesday, I took a 440 mile ride {round trip} to State College, Pa to visit my son at Penn State. Rt. 322 is a beautiful road to travel. Also there is a Harley Dealer { #1 cycle shop} with a chrome horse and soon to be a Bed and Breakfast. (Jim"SKID"H. photo)
These shirts in memory of Sergeant Pat McDonald, are available from Brian's H-D, in sizes XL and 2XL in white and limited numbers of gray.
October 4th, Brian's H-D sponsored a "Women's Ride". Kathy W-H took a group of more experienced riders which included guys with their women riders on the back (Men are welcome to join in these rides). (Kathy W-H. photo)
We went over the Washington Crossing Bridge up back roads in NJ, back over Frenchtown Bridge stopping at Homestead General Store, and riding back roads through Erwinna down to the river through New Hope and ending at Brian's H-D. (Kathy W-H. photo)
The September 28th. Ride for Autism gets off to a rainy start (Connie M. photo)
Along with a police escort, all the highway alert signs were set to "Watch for Motorcycles". (Connie M. photo)
Arriving in AC, is Phil excited or is it the lack of his dog to hold down his sidecar. (Connie M. photo)
Rob started taking off his raingear and then kept taking off more and more ... no Rob, you're supposed to stop, leaving the pants on (I think this is one of those things his mommy usually does for him and he just doesn't have experience). (Connie M. photo)
The brave, dedicated and wet Riders for Autism. (Connie M. photo)
Sunday, September 21, Daryl W. took a group to the Dublin dinner for breakfast than on to Lost River Caverns. (Daryl W. photo)
September 20th. was the annual BCH Crab Run. Riders departed Brian's H-D for Waterman's in Rock Hall, MD. After a customary rest stop, everyone's eager to continue on but ooops ... where's Little Al? (Connie M. photo)
It was a great day to be riding anywhere. A mixture of sun and clouds with moderate temperatures. (Connie M. photo)
What are they looking at menus for. Say "C-R-A-B-S". (Skip N. photo)
Yo "Moose", I wouldn't recommend looking crabby in a crab house. Somebody might take a bite out of you. (Skip N. photo)
... Like this young lady who really loves everything about crabs. (Skip N. photo)
After a great lunch, it's not unusual to see the group outside, waiting to go, with "Fletch" inside picking through everyone's shells for missed morsels. Fletch couldn't make it this year so Pat P. stepped up (sat down) to take his place. (Connie M. photo)
Thousands worldwide converged on Milwaukee for the 105th. anniversary of the Motor Company. One group of BCH members actually headed south through West Virginia to avoid the hum-drum of interstate travel, skimming Columbus Ohio to visit the AMA museum. Interesting was the covered motorcycle parking bays in the background.
MapMeister, Dave H., ferrets out the backest of back roads, frequently landing on ones that appear back before blacktop was invented. This was one of those deeply stoned ones, that you can't wait for the next intersection, only to intersect with another of the same.
Milwaukeeans are proud of their Harley heritage and throw out the welcome mat, big time. People frequently stand on interstate overpasses waving the bikes on. Here a couple of ornamental lions outside a law office are transformed into bikers.
The Miller Park Stadium was also transformed, into "Club HOG", and "Wall of Ink", free to all HOG attendees.
Summerfest, on the Lake, was the central point of many 105th. festivities and entertainment. Three stages, vendors and Harley displays, all day and night, spilling into adjacent street parties.
Plant tours and Dealer visits were another must do. The dealer setups are reminiscent of Daytona Biker Bars ... on the outskirts of town with rows of vendor tents. The Kenosha dealer has an unmistakable tower of motorcycles.
The Pabst mansion, formally owned by the inventor of Pabst Beer (not the Pabst Smear, as the webmaster previously believed) is an incredible display of intricate woodwork.
The new Harley Museum was another must see, whether or not you won a lottery ticket to go inside. Irronically, there was no waiting to enter. The long lines outside were to get into the museum store
Outside the museum were vendors, bands and where to find your rivet. Penny B. found hers. Insets are rivets of Kenny S., and Pamela S.
With four days of activity at dozens of locations, it's hard to believe you can actually run into people you know, but we did.
The big closing for the big celebration was Elton ... woops, sorry, I mean Bruce Springsteen. With hours before show time, the Lakeside park is already packed. The man really does put on a show, nearly four hours of non-stop music.
But four days of traffic and crowds was plenty for this group so blasting the interstate past Chicago, they settled back on secondary roads through Michigan, laying over at Saginaw and crossing the border at Port Huron.
This part of Canada provided much welcome relief from traffic and crowds although more twisties and a few mountains would have been nice. Just remember before you hit the first curve, speed limits are in kilometers, not miles, and that 43 mph curve could be dicey if you hit it at 70. :8)
Dinner was enjoyed at the Rainbow Room Restaurant on the 10th floor of the Brock hotel, one of the best kept secret views of Niagara Falls. Gardens, sightseeing, Clifton Hill and of course casinos were other favorite activities.
It was a memorable vacation but the twisties and mountain vistas of Pennsylvania were a welcome sight, some three thousand miles later.
September 6, Daryl W. led a group up to the Pocono Raceway. (Rob McC. photo)
We stopped in Souderton to join a large group riding up. (Kathy W-H. photo)
For a $10 donation per lap, up to 3 laps around the track, these riders are lined up to make their contribution to autism. Rob writes; "The most daring of the group such as me, got the opportunity to run our bikes at close to or more than 100 mph across the front and back straight away and over 75 mph in the turns". (Rob McC. photo)
Barbara rode in Phil's side car and filmed a movie of the racing. (Kathy W-H. photo)

Wednesday, August 20 a group of 6 bikes lead by Kathy (substituting for Moose) went to the Country Place in Perkasie. We enjoyed great food after a ride through the woods on the New Britian side of town. Great roads including a covered bridge and beautiful scenery. (Kathy W-H. photo)
50/50 night at the Trenton Thunder on 08/20, netted $660 to help support Mary Q and her girls in the Susan G. Komen, 3 Day, 60 mile Breast Cancer Walk. (Rob McC. photo)
On August 17, 26 BCH members attended the Red Knight's Poker Run. "An awesome event"; writes Rob McC., "the food, the route and especially the cause - supporting fire fighters and their families". (Rob McC. photo)

Group shot from the Lunch Run on 07/19, to the Ship Inn. As you can see. this was also the kick-off of the Lloyd P. marathon run. "on your mark, get set .... ". (Rob McC. photo)
The PA Rally comes home! The 2008 Rally was Thursday August 7 through Saturday the 9th. Participants converged onto the Art Museum for a group photo Saturday morning (A full size version of this photo is for sale). (Joel B. photo)
After the Art Museum photo shoot a group of 50 bikes went to 4 Cheese Steak Restauarants. The first was Geno's. (Kathy W-H. photo)
There were several rides to choose from the Valley Forge Convention Center. These big guns should be quite familiar to to BCH members. (Kathy W-H. photo)
Kathy writes; "I led the ride to the Battleship NJ from the Rally on Friday August 8. I had 17 bikes and 25 people, seen here in our group photo". (Kathy W-H. photo)
Bikes couldn't park any closer than the pier next to the battleship. Rob McCarthy took over from the Battleship to Center City to see the historical sites. (Kathy W-H. photo)
Considering the sign over Rob's head, "Try a bunk for size here", it looks like Rob has only another year or so of "Riding to eat", before he needs a bigger bunk. Maybe he's wearing an INFLATED life preserver under that shirt. (Kathy W-H. photo)
Let the games begin! ... and so they did on Saturday which is the tradional day for Bike Games at Rally's. (Mark C. photo)
Lots to see and do at this Rally, it was quite a Hoot! (Mark C. photo)
Hmmm, looks like Mark C. did pretty good at the Bike Games, and is going home with one of the top prizes.

IN HIS SADDLEBAG ... I meant he was smiling like he had a prize in his saddlebag, what did you think I meant. :8)

July 26th., Brian's H-D sponsored a workshop for women. Kathy writes; "We started out at Brian's after our pre-ride discussion" (Yes, men were wlcome to join the ride). (Kathy W-H. photo)
"We had 30+ bikes and rode all over Hunterdon County back roads with a stop at a little store in Sergeantsville, NJ". (Kathy W-H. photo)
"We ended back at Brian's after a 50 mile ride". (Kathy W-H. photo)
The July membership meeting was loaded with surprises. An impromptu bike show, along with Rita's Water Ice, prizes and other treats. (Joel B. photo)
Sunday July 20, BCH rode to Delaware City to tour Fort Delaware. Fort Delaware is on Pea Patch island so the group had to leave their bikes behind in favor of the Three Forts Ferry. (Tony B. photo)
The ferry is named from the strategic union defense of three forts to protect the ports of Wilmington and Philadelphia. Mary invites you into the fortress which also served as a prison. (Tony B. photo)
Fort Delaware is the central of the three forts situated in the middle of the Delaware River. On the western banks batteries still exist which developed into Fort DuPont. Ft. Dupont remained active through WWII, and on the New Jersey banks the batteries of Fort Mott were built. (Tony B. photo)
Speaking of battery, is this reenactor telling Mary to put up her dukes. I suspect he's just demonstrating a proper presentation of weapons. (Tony B. photo)
Back in June, Tony B. led a group to the Daniel Boone Homestead near Reading, PA. (Tony B. photo)
The June 22, BCH 'homesteaders'. (Tony B. photo)
And let this serve as a reminder ... the risk you take, riding without a helmet when the bike in front of you kicks road kill onto your head. (Tony B. photo)
We're getting close, I can see them!! And we're sure that's what this group was thinking as the Adirondack mountains come into view. (Pat & Lloyd P. photo)
This is the third annual vacation ride, hosted by Brian's Harley Davidson, which occurred between July 10 and 13. (Pat & Lloyd P. photo)
The Adirondack's is one of the few places left in the US where you get a taste of that wild, woodsy, era of America. Great winding roads along crisp waterways and mountain vistas. (Pat & Lloyd P. photo)
Of course the group gravitates toward the local Harley Dealers, too. (Pat & Lloyd P. photo)
And while the guys browse through the showroom, their wives are having a field day. (Pat & Lloyd P. photo)
"Moose" found the Adirondack's catered much to his liking, with "Moose Trading", "Moose River", "Moosers, Big Moose Fire Hall on Big Moose Road" ... (jeez). (Pat & Lloyd P. photo)

Have Harley will eat, and after lunch you can get a feel of heading up the slopes on a genuine 1980 Olympic ski lift. (Pat & Lloyd P. photo)
Better yet, ride to a real ski slope ... (Pat & Lloyd P. photo)
... And take a real 2008 ski lift to the top, as photographers Pat & Lloyd have done. (Pat & Lloyd P. photo)
Not far from White Face Mountain, is Lake Placid, home of those 1980 Olympics (not far from where that real 1980's chair lift came from). (Pat & Lloyd P. photo)
Unfortunately, it has to rain on every parade, now and again, but it doesn't look to have spoiled anyone's fun. (Pat & Lloyd P. photo)
The tall Adirondack timber is just as interesting under a slight overcast. (Pat & Lloyd P. photo)
A great class photo of the 2008 Brian's Adirondack trip. (Pat & Lloyd P. photo)
Nooooooo, don't be giving cigars to the kids. Well, yea I know Natale's not a kid anymore, but we still remember him when he was littler than his dad. :8) (Pat & Lloyd P. photo)
I hope this isn't the way everything looked to Natale after smoking that big cigar. Pretty eerie. Looks more like London, than of the Adirondack's. (Pat & Lloyd P. photo)
Here's a better representation of the Adirondack's to close with. (Pat & Lloyd P. photo)
The 32nd. annual Ramapo 500 was held July 12 & 13. A group of nine BCH members and alumni met at Ireland's in Sloatsburg, NY. (Doug H. & Barry O. photo)
The Ramapo 500 is a weekend tour of approximately 250 miles per day. It is one of the best organized events in the country, attracting as many as 400 participants. There's a lot of water features and it wasn't long til we crossed the Wanaque Resevoir dam.
Registration includes Saturday dinner, prizes, patch & pin, camping, entertainment, Sunday breakfast, and wonderful roads mostly in the Catskills, but sometimes as far north as the Adirondack's. The group pausing for lunch includes John B. and Wayne B. who rode up Friday. Mike D. who rode south from the Adirondack's and joined Wayne & John Friday in Mahwah. Dave H., "TJ" B., John "Fletch" F., Barry O., Doug H., and Ed, rode up the wee hours of Saturday morning. (Barry O. photo)
After lunch it was ... Oh Drat! Winding roads for another 10 miles. :8)

This tour is billed as "Technically Challenging", through "roads less traveled". It's not for everyone. Two years ago many roads were washed out and pocked with muddy ruts. This year there was an inordinate amount of freshly oiled/stoned roads. But with moderate experience, it doesn't get any better than 500 miles of twisty, scenic, back roads!

The Blackthorne Resort in East Durham (Catskills), has lodging as well as camping. Dinner was a superb buffet, with the staff urging diners to come back for more as they constantly added additional entries. Our group 'camped' at the Hampton Inn about 40 miles north in Cohoes. (Doug H. photo)
After dinner there was time to sit around the camp fire and tell scary stories. It was also time for door prizes (there's a couple hundred so we walked away with two or three amongst us) and awards which we took "Furthest distance traveled to Sloatsburg". (Doug H. photo)
We constantly ponder how the Rampo guys can put together 500 miles each year. The route is unmarked but the directions are impeccable. Check-in, parking, everything is highly organized. One claim to their fame is that literally Monday after the event, they start planning for the following year. (Doug H. photo)
An ironic coincidence, we pulled over to peek at the historic Roebling Bridge, when Wayne heard someone yell his name from a passing group of bikes. It was John W. and the Brian's group heading home from the Adirondacks. They are just ahead of us here on Rt 97 west of Port Jervis.
About a half hour later, it was all over. It looks like little Johnny B. is ready for bed, unlike his friend in the next bike who appears quite happy to go on another 500 miles!
The 2008 Ramapo 500 riders. (Doug H. photo)
This picture is of BCH members, Charlie E. and myself, Debbie P., at our wedding. We were married July 4th., during the Oklahoma State HOG Rally.

The Oklahoma members were awesome people who made our wedding a fantastic time! The two people who stood for us were an engineer from H-D and the OK rep from HOG. Even the minister who married us was a HOG member. (Debbie P. photo)

So what did you do for the 4th. The weather wasn't too promising, although not nearly as bad as threatened. Kathy W-H shrugged the warnings and headed to the Grand Canyon. (Kathy W-H. photo)
If you've never seen the Grand Canyon, it's probably a lot greener than you expected, but this is Pennsylvania, not Arizona. (Kathy W-H. photo)
Moose lead the ride to Ponzio's Diner in Brooklawn NJ last night. We had 10 bikes and great weather. (Kathy W-H. photo)
In support of Million Mile Monday, BCH organized two rides to pile on the miles. This is the evening group. (Rob McC. photo)
And in between piling on some miles, the group stopped to pile on some food. (Rob McC. photo)
Sunday June 29 was the annual Penn-Del Poker Run, better known as Camp Joy. They say the early bird catches the worm so a couple of BCH members were out the gate even before the official start time, beating the traffic, the heat and the threat of storms.
The poker run organizers created a great route through Montgomery County and parts of Bucks. Dave noses into Swamp Creek Road, a favorite serpentine of your Editor and Webmaster.
From the expression on Dave's face, being the early bird offers no benefit when the quest is a hand of cards. Still it was a great day and we had fun while supporting the camp.
"Flea" always manages to coerce a few BCH members to help out at Camp Joy. You know Rob, it's supposed to storm. Haven't you heard what happens when you get crocs wet!!??
Oh well, I tried to warn him that Crocs are known to swell hundreds of times their original size when you pour water on them.
Actually, Rob was preparing for lunch in celebration of the Neshamminy Valley Antique Motorcycle Club, bike show at Brian's H-D.
And from the upstairs deck at Brian's H-D, you can see the bikes in the lot with the beautiful mountainous backdrop. (Mike D. photo)
Woops, that looked a little like the lot from Brian's deck but that was actually from the restaurant at Penns Peak, where this group lunched Saturday afternoon. (Mike D. photo)
Friday June 20 the TGIF Dinner ride went to the Wagon Wheel in Quakertown. A small group enjoyed the back roads and the beautiful scenery. Other fellow riders not in the picture met us there. (Kathy W-H. photo)
Sunday June 15 was the Tri State HOG Poker Run. A group congregated at Brian's H-D for the ride south. (Rob McC. photo)
Tri-State had a good turn-out the previous week at our Poker Run, so it was only fitting to have a group ride to Chadds Ford, where "Mouse" looks eager to sign-in..
I don't know ... I see a lot of Bucks County Rockers, do you think we'll take Best Represented Club???
Bucks County has River Road, Covered Bridges and nice roads, but Chester County has some VERY nice roads, as well.
The Webmaster hopes not to open a can of worms but he thinks quite frankly, when it comes to countryside, which is more open, rolling hills, and roads that go longer between stop signs, those folks in Chester County have it a little better than Bucks (and they do have some covered bridges too!).
The BCH group arrives at the Media Dealer for lunch and DJ music.
And YES, BCH did win the Best Represented Club. "Mouse" and "Moose" are presented the accolades ... trophy to follow. (Rob McC. photo)
The Friday Dinner Ride of June 13, first stopped at the Garden of Reflections on Woodside Rd in Yardley. A memorial to those that died in 911 and composed of a section of the Trade Center. There is also a fountain with the names inscribed in glass of all the 2,973 people who lost their lives. (Kathy W-H. photo)
The group left the park and went to Joseph's Grill in Penndel for dinner. (Kathy W-H. photo)
Wednesday June 11th., BCH rode to the MDA Variety Club Camp in Worcester, which has become an annual event. (Rob McC. photo)
So where are all the kids ... they're usually flocking to see the bikes! (Rob McC. photo)
Aha! Those triple digit temperatures of recent is keeping the camp pool occupied. It's great to see how the Variety Club Camp can help the kids enjoy things other kids get to do. (Rob McC. photo)
And you have to give a lot of credit to the camp counselors. Just getting into the pool is a task we should think of next time we simply hop on our scooter for a ride. (Rob McC. photo)

Philadelphia Police organized a memorial ride June 1 to support families of recent fallen Police.
Offc. Chuck Cassidy's Police Car, permanently memorialized in black, led the parade to Wildwood.
BCH members Tom and Barb I. along with son Tom, were among hundreds of bikes. The destination was the Wildwood Moose who served up a great lunch buffet.
Learning the town of Freehold reached a compromise with the residents, Dave H. wasted no time organizing a ride to Kruise Nite, Thursday 6/29. If you missed this one, there's three more opportunities this year. Refer to the Bucks HOG on-line calendars for dates and departures. .
The Memorial Day weekend brought incredible weather to the region and lots to do. Kathy W-H. writes; "I left PA for a week with family down to the OBX in N.C. The family road in their cages but I rode down there alone. The picture is me sitting at the rest area on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge." (Kath W-H. photo)
Of course, Washington and "Rolling Thunder" was a destination for many. One couple of couples left Friday for Quantico, visiting the new Marine's museum and many of the surrounding Battlefields.
Old Towne Fredericksburg was a must see. Just another quaint shopping district but if the guys expected their wives to sit quiet through the battlefields, it had to be done. ;-)
Luminaries had been set-up at the Fredericksburg National Cemetary so we returned later that night. Boy Scouts lit 15,300 candles to represent each of the soldiers buried there. The main cemetery is atop a hill and it's quite breathtaking as you crest the hill and see them.
Hundreds of Thousands of bikes will roll over the Memorial Bridge to the National Mall, but there are two significant parades which converge at the Pentagon from two area dealers, this photo from the Fairfax dealer.
This was the best Rolling Thunder weather the Webmaster remembers in over 6 years and the Pentagon lot is already full with thousands more waiting.
Ray K. & Debbie V.S, Nancy and Gerry F., and Rob McC. joined another chapter down to the Pentagon lot. (Rob McC. photo)

We had 16 bikes on the Coffee/Dinner Ride of May 14. "Moose" lead us over the Burlington Bristol Bridge to get a dealer stamp on our "Ride with us this Summer" sheets. Then we went to the Vincentville Diner out on Rt 206 in NJ for something to eat. (Kath W-H. photo)
Moose had his first Coffee/Dinner Ride of the season Wednesday, May 7. 11 bikes strong they made their way from Brian's down State Rd. to Rt 95. The destination was Tony Lukes in South Philadelphia. It was a wonderful night for a ride as the temperatures were in the 70's. The ride home was spectacular with all the ships and bridges lit up. (Kathy W-H. photo)

REMEMBER - Event specific photos such as Ride for Life can be found on their dedicated web pages MDA RfL

From the Coffee/Dinner Ride, Wednesday April 30; "We went to Tony's on Bristol Rd in Ivyland. We had great food, conversation and watched the Flyers game. Jeff , George , Ed, Barbara, Buck & myself (Kathy)". (Kath W-H. photo)
Saturday April 26 was the MDA RfL Packet Turn-in and party at Brian's HD. MDA Chairperson Al D., and 19 year RfL participant Keith L., work on event registration.

Holy schmoly Rob, if you consume all that, your bike will buckle from the weight. (Connie M. photo)
The "Friday night dinner ride" of April 25, takes this group to "Bungs", Rt 130 , Florence NJ. Rob, George, Cindy, Buck & myself (Kathy) having dinner on the outside deck. The Webmaster pondered if they were drinking the Lava Lamps, but Kathy writes; "What's in the fish bottles? Ice Tea". (Kathy W-H. photo)
Monday the 21st., a group headed to York for the annual Bucks HOG tour of the CVO facility. (Connie M. photo)
What a great way to visit the plant, in a limited, private, attendance. Unfortunately, no cameras allowed inside. (Connie M. photo)
Every great tour should be followed by a great lunch. (Connie M. photo)
Wednesday 4/23 was an awesome evening, reminiscent of the BCH Coffee Rides. In fact, that's just what Kathy W-H organized. Buck, Dennis, Joel, Michele & her daughter, Jeff, and George joined Kathy on a beautiful ride, then enjoyed a nice dinner on the deck at the Cactus Grill in Plumsteadville. (Kathy W-H. photo)
"Moose" reminds us that May is upon us and that means Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month. Get Out, Be Safe and prove to the Nation that motorcycles are everywhere. (Joel "Expressions Photography" B. photo)
April 20, Rob McC. met with 2 members and traveled to New Castle to join 15 Tri-State HOGs. Their destination was Smyrna for the Poker Run. The cans of corn were the donation which gleaned an extra card to draw. (Rob McC. photo)
Joel B. provides another interesting photo collage from Brian's annual Fall Fashion Show. This year hosted by Pierre Robert of WMMR radio. Intermingled through the show were many, many cool items up for auction to benefit MDA. ("Expressions Photography" photo)
"Roon", "Mouse", "Moose", and Judi Z., had their turn at Primary Officer Training and another look at that 9600 cu. inch engine. (Judi Z. photo)

Hey, what's that Jersey guy doing in the picture. (Judi Z. photo)
Did you know "Moose" had a twin sister? (Judi Z. photo)
Jim "Skid" H. writes: "What a wonderful day to ride. Three Bucks Hogs, remembering what our Chapter is all about. There's nothing like riding and traveling the beautiful county side of Bucks County with friends, priceless". We think "Skid" is facetiously referring to the idled scooters. The Webmaster counters ... Hey, they had to ride to those parking lots! :8) (Jim "Skid" H. photo)
Brian's H-D was the destination for Polar Bears on April 30. With as many as 500 Bears, bikes overflowed into the lot across the street. BCH Volunteers assisted outside in parking ...
.. and more BCH Volunteers assist in serving the hungry bears a great lunch courtesy of Brian's H-D. Every Polar Bear destination has food available but Brian's is one of only a few who would risk feeding 500 members at no charge!
Some of the Bears enjoying lunch and deciding on a great after-lunch ride!
Meanwhile just over the bridge in Milwaukee, Al D. Kathy W-H, and Rob McC., attended P.O. Training. Here we see them and some Colorado acquaintances in front of the forthcoming 9600 cubic inch engine. :-)
The trio found time to see some of the sights of where it all began. This in front of the original plant building. This facility no longer manufactures.
They also toured the Wauwatosa Powertrain Operations, one of three manufacturing plants not far from the Milwaukee offices. The former propeller plant also houses a gift shop which Rob is screaming through on the bike he hijacked.
The authorities released Rob after he promised not to ride any more scooters in the plant and ordered him to church to confess. Well, the stained glass windows look like a church but I guess the mugs of beer gave away the fact they were visiting the Miller Brewery.
So how many Milwaukeeans passing by thought, what a nice dad Rob must be for taking his son and daughter to the Milwaukee Riverfront.
Oh oh, looks like Tax Time is upon us. Actually, it's a full house for the Biker Bingo at Brian's H-D. (Judi Z. photo)
That looks a little smaller than the other Bingo Balls. This might be a picture of Moose about to eat a blue M&M. (Judi Z. photo)
Kids just love the Easter Bunny. (Judi Z. photo)
March 15th. was the second annual Black & Blue Ball, this year at Belle Voir Manor. (Judi Z. photo)

Rob McC., always a trend setter. Rob, it's called a bow tie but it shouldn't look like a bow off of a Christmas Package! (Judi Z. photo)
A nice photo of Judi and Al Z. if you ignore the donkey ears over Al (and we can't even see who the wise guy was). (Judi Z. photo)

Rolma S. sends us this photo of husband Ken, with his latest upgrade. We think she sends us these to post and remind Ken that his wife is due for new toys, herself!

About the project: A while back Ken mentioned to Brett about a paint job that says; "It's coming out of Hell!" (that's the Ken we know and love). Brett happened to send out a Street Glide set to Mitch Omar (painter from Bartlett, TN, who also did the Jimmy Buffet bike at Brian's), and Ken bought it. In essence it was Ken's idea but Brett won't admit to that, LOL.

You can learn more at OS Custom Paints who are commissioned to do the Elvis Presley estate and working with HD to do 30 or so bikes. ("OnlyOneRolma" photo)

Sunday March 2 took the Polar Bears to the Firehouse Eatery in Rahway, NJ. There Rob was presented with a trophey for 2nd. place, Novice class, in this year's Midnight Crotona, by Crotona organizer, Dick R.
After lunch, Dave led us through a spectacular "Spring-is-on-its-way" day to Washington Rock overlook.
Feb 24 made a Perfect Polar portal to Bahr's Seafood. MapMeister Dave H. guided us through snowy Jersey surroundings serenaded by sunny skies.
From the looks of Rob McC's helmet, he must be coal mining to afford some new chrome? Rob McC. caught up with the Bears at Bahr's having completed the Crotona with Mike D., and John W. Rob's helmet still has his "headlight" secured with "Duck" tape.
Here's the trio of girlie-men-not, many hours earlier before kicking off on the Crotona in quest of the prized Crotona medal. (John W. photo)
The previous week, Rob was trying for another prize. The Bears were hoping this would tide him over for awhile so he didn't feel compelled to do wolf calls over the CB to every little girl in pigtails he passed. (John W. photo)
Sunday 2/3 was another unseasonable day. This young lady, with the "Smart Ass White Girl" patch, pulled up to the webmaster and asked where all the bikes were from. She hadn't heard of the Polar Bears but liked knowing there were others that shared her enjoyment of winter riding. Dave H. is intrigued by her choice of bikes and wondered if she heard of the movie, "Long Way Round". She had!
Saturday 2/2, Kathy W-H invited members to take advantage of more unseasonal weather. They stopped at Peace Valley Park in Doylestown. Perfect timing, a ranger came around and took the picture. L to R, is Doug L., Tom from North Jersey, Wayne W., Jeff C., Kathy WH, John F., ant Kirt T. (Kathy's son from North Jersey). (Kathy W-H photo)
BC Penguin Captain Bill Y. sends us this photo with the caption; "I just knew that all Polar Bears wanted to be Penguins"!!

A couple paragraphs later Bill surmised that it may actually be a sneaky old bear who tied a string around his neck and is otherwise having a snack? We'll probably never know but Dave H. has subsequently instructed his den to bring lots of black string next Sunday. :8) (Bill Y. photo)

What better way to shake off the winter blues than to get out and ride. Doug L., Buck O. and Kathy W-H got out during a break in the weather on Saturday. It was nippy out, but fun. Doug, Buck & Kathy joined by Kathy's son Kirt in Frenchtown (Kathy W-H photo)
Doug, Buck & Kathy in front of the River & Mill in Clinton, NJ and Kathy & her son Kirt. (Kathy W-H photo)
Also on Saturday was the "Built by Brian's" bike show.
This was a show featuring what customers envisioned and Brian's expert staff built. (Kathy W-H photo)
Happy New Year! What did you do the first day of 2008? Rob McC. talked. Nothing new about that, huh. John W. writes; "Notice that poor guy standing there wondering, does this guy ever take a breath. Rob somehow managed to devour a box of donuts and talk, and talk, and talk". The towel? Rob claims his rainsuit leaked, but rumor has it Rob took a tip from Astronaut Lisa Nowak, so he gets more talking time. (John W. photo)
Rob, Jerry, his wife and John, did the rainy version of the Chilly Chili run. Jerry and wife enjoy donuts and coffee while purchasing 50/50 tickets. (John W. photo)
48 bikes that made the 28 mile 50 minute ride. The ride covered a lot of 517 and 613. The outside track was a good lane to be in, the inside track was either puddled, or gravel covered. Plenty of people cheered the riders as we left the firehouse. Not that many people to cheer the riders during the ride. (John W. photo)
A local newspaper photographer took this picture. The ride finished at the start point. Chili, hot dogs and root beer were, as always, the only items on the menu. Rob got a trophy (a hot dog roll) for the rider that traveled the greatest distance (105 miles). Bergen county HOG took the trophy (rubber chicken) for the best represented chapter, 44 members, but only 6 rode. (John W. photo)
Later that day, Kathy W-H rode with some clubs in Montgomery County. There are 15 clubs that all communicate to coordinate events. Kathy writes; "I was invited by my friend Larry Steinhouse, the one we were voting for his girlfriend's video. He is thinking of becoming a BCHOG member. The picture is of him & myself at the American Star Diner in Lansdale". (Kathy W-H. photo)
This is two women I met at the breakfast. Jeanie S., on the right, rides a Fat Boy and has been riding for 47 years. She belongs to Motor Maids and Lois on the left, put 24,000 miles on her bike this year. I just thought they were amazing". (Kathy W-H. photo)
What a miserable season it's been for the Polar Bears. While it's been unseasonably mild so far, few weekends have been sans precipitation. Here at SweetWater Casino, members return to their bikes for another soaking trip home.
Saturday December 22 was Brian's annual Customer Appreciation Day. Bucks HOG members were staffing the bake sale.
And you could take one of Mouse's famous Butter Cakes, or other goodies, right over to the MDA gift wrap table to present a perfect gift.
It looks like Moose is getting one of his gifts, already.
So was Ken S. getting an early gift. He shopped the Brian's H-D toy store and picked out an engine upgrade and was able to watch the entire process right on the floor!
At the December 2007 Members Meeting, representatives of the St. Mary's toy drive present Bucks County HOG with a token of their appreciation.
Santa was also at the December Meeting and Rich is so very glad he made it!
Your 2008 Chapter Officers and recipients of Member of Year and Hummel Awards, Jim H. and Bill Y..

The Webmaster appologizes for the delay in posting 2008 photos. In respect to Pam Schlick, I closed the 2007 photo-set with her photo.
